REQUEST FOR ONE APPROVED ABSENCE - OR - ONE EARLY DISMISSAL
All requests for an excused absence or an early dismissal from a Nutcracker rehearsal must be submitted using this form, BEFORE September 10th (audition day). The directors of the Nutcracker will review each application on a case by case basis, and either approve or deny the request. Notification of decision will be made by email to the parent
submitting this application.
This form is used to request ONE absence - OR - ONE early dismissal, submitted PRIOR to auditioning, for families that already have a known prior commitment (eg Broadway tickets, a wedding, a bar mitzvah, etc.).
For requests made AFTER September 10th, 2023, please refer to your Terms and Conditions at the time of registration for Nutcracker. All parents sign a contract stating they read and understood the following information:
If you have extenuating circumstances or a previous known commitment that requires your child be absent from ONE rehearsal – OR – ONE early dismissal, during the 11 weeks of rehearsals, you can submit a request for absence below.

- All rehearsals require MANDATORY ATTENDANCE. Anyone missing a rehearsal or leaving early from rehearsal, without prior approval, will not be allowed to perform. Do not audition if you cannot commit to all the rehearsals. This is a 11 week commitment.
- Rehearsals are on 11 Sundays – September 17th – December 9th @ Northern Westchester School of Dance in Katonah, NY. We are closed for Columbus Day weekend and Thanksgiving weekend.
- All Nutcracker fees are NON–REFUNDABLE
